Umargam mamlatdar caught with 5L bribe

Surat: Sleuths of the anti-corruption bureau (ACB), Surat unit, caught Umargarm (Valsad dist) mamlatdar Amit Zadafiya redhanded while accepting Rs 5 lakh bribe.
As per the case details, the complainant had applied for transferring a plot of land to his name legally. As there was third party claim on the land, the matter became disputed. To remove this dispute in complainant’s favour, the mamlatdar had sought Rs 5 lakh bribe.
A trap was laid and Zadafiya was caught taking the money in his office. Surat rural and Surat city ACB police successfully laid the trap.tnn
