YAMUNANAGAR: The police filed a case of murder after a man was found dead under mysterious circumstances at his rented house in Yamunanagar district on Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Sukhwinder Singh of Ahmadpur village of Ambala district, who lived with his wife in a rented room in Bhagwanpur village for the last about eight months.
Sukhwinder’s sister Dimple raised suspicion that his wife murdered him. On the complaint of Dimple, a case has been filed against Sukhwinder’s wife Kajal at Jagadhri Sadar police station on Wednesday.
Dimple told police that, “Sukhwinder and Kajal had solemnized love marriage. My brother worked as a labourer in the plywood industry in Bhagwanpur and my sister-in-law Kajal also worked as labourer in the same industry. Sukhwinder told me that Kajal had an illicit relationship with somebody as she used to talked with someone on the phone.”
A police officer said that they received the information in the morning that a man died in his rented room under mysterious circumstances.
“The police reached the spot and took the body to the civil hospital at Jagadhri for post-mortem. The sister of deceased raised suspicion Sukhwinder was murdered by his wife. We have registered a case of murder and criminal conspiracy and the matter is being investigated," said the officer.
