Stock market update: Power stocks up as market rises

NEW DELHI: Power stocks were trading higher on Wednesday at 10:09AM

Indo Tech Transformers(up 9.39%), Suzlon Energy(up 6.88%), Adani Transmissions(up 5.00%), RTNPOWER(up 4.76%), ADANIGREEN(up 4.03%), Jyoti Structures(up 3.60%), Jaiprakash Power Ventures(up 3.54%), Adani Power(up 3.40%), Torrent Power(up 3.19%) and JSW Energy(up 2.18%) were among the top gainers.

Alstom T&D India(down 4.98%), Power & Instrumentation(Gujarat)(down 3.18%), Reliance Power(down 2.70%), NLC India(down 1.12%), Transformers and Rectifiers(India)(down 1.02%), KPI Green Energy(down 0.95%) and Voltamp Transformers(down 0.12%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 12.3 points up at 18360.3, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 62.57 points at 62044.36 at around 10:09AM.

Dr Reddys Laboratories(up 1.16%), Maruti Suzuki(up 1.07%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 0.94%), Bajaj Auto(up 0.84%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprises(up 0.83%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(up 0.83%), Britannia Industries(up 0.76%), ITC(up 0.66%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(up 0.62%) and Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(up 0.58%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Adani Enterprises(down 0.79%), Hindalco Industries(down 0.77%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(down 0.69%), HDFC(down 0.49%), Divis Laboratories(down 0.45%), HDFC Bank(down 0.43%), ICICI Bank(down 0.4%), Tata Motors(down 0.37%), Mahindra & Mahindra(down 0.36%) and Grasim Industries(down 0.3%) were trading in the red.
