Authorities arrested six New York men accused of impersonating police officers and robbing a Fair Lawn resident, who was left tied up in their own home, according to the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office.

Michael D'angelo, 50, and Daniel Ruggiero 52, of the Bronx, were charged with impersonating an officer, kidnapping, robbery, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, theft, conspiracy, armed burglary, and weapons offenses, related to the alleged home invasion on Nov. 17, 2022.

Meanwhile, their three accomplices, Bruno Simonetti 42, of Mount Vernon, New York; Sian Stafford, 28, of Manhattan; and Dominick Memoli, 57, and Erion Beshiri, 35, of the Bronx, were charged with conspiracy to commit robbery.

The men are accused of knocking on the door of a Fair Lawn home and showing the victim badges suggesting they were detectives with the NYPD, prosecutors claim.

Once the homeowner allowed them inside, they allegedly restrained the victim and made off with jewelry and cash, fleeing the scene before police arrived.

Agents from the FBI, as well as detectives from the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office, apprehended all six defendants while executing search warrants in the Bronx, Mount Vernon and on Long Island.

The men are currently being held in jails in New York while awaiting extradition to New Jersey, prosecutors stated.
