Stock market update: Mining stocks up as market rises

NEW DELHI: Mining stocks were trading higher on Tuesday at 10:30AM

Pokarna(up 5.03%), Gujarat Mineral Dvpt Corporation(up 2.30%), Oriental Trimex(up 2.10%), Lexus Granito(up 1.42%), NMDC Ltd(up 1.33%), MOIL(up 1.18%), Madhav Marbles and Granites(up 1.10%), 20 Microns(up 1.01%), Aro Granite Industries(up 0.87%) and KIOCL(up 0.61%) were among the top gainers.

Orissa Minerals Development Company(down 2.05%), Ashapura Minechem(down 1.10%) and Coal India(down 0.06%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 80.8 points up at 18395.2, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 195.65 points at 62159.33 at around 10:30AM.

Adani Enterprises(up 13.49%), Divis Laboratories(up 4.33%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 2.78%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(up 2.12%), Bajaj Finserv(up 1.27%), Infosys(up 1.2%), IndusInd Bank(up 1.08%), Tata Motors(up 1.06%), Britannia Industries(up 1.05%) and Hindalco Industries(up 0.93%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Grasim Industries(down 1.13%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 0.85%), Larsen & Toubro(down 0.61%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprises(down 0.56%), Mahindra & Mahindra(down 0.55%), Titan Company Ltd(down 0.53%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(down 0.49%), Hero MotoCorp(down 0.31%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(down 0.19%) and Bharti Airtel(down 0.11%) were trading in the red.
