Nagpur boys enter state youth final
Nagpur: An allround performance from Nagpur boys enabled them to outclass title contenders Mumbai City 61-37 in the semifinal encounter of the state youth basketball championship in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar on Tuesday. If boys team played to their reputation, the girls team failed to do so, and crashed out of the tournament with a semifinal defeat against Kolhapur 79-58.
Nagpur boys dominated the rivals in all the quarters (14-11, 29-24, 18-5, 18-18) through Yashshasvi Yadav (13), Shashank Ghadge (12), Prathamesh Dwivedi (10), Atharva Dhore (8) and Shreyash Bhosale (7).
Yashshasvi accumulated game-high 13 points. Yashshasvi, along with Shashank and Prathamesh closed Mumbai City’s comeback doors by increasing the lead rapidly. TNN
