Sobriety checkpoint planned in York County: state police

A sobriety checkpoint is planned in York County over the Memorial Day weekend, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

At least one checkpoint will be conducted between May 24 and May 28 on an undisclosed road, a news release states.

The checkpoints are an effort to reduce the number of fatalities and injuries caused by drug and alcohol-related crashes as well as the number of DUI incidents, the release states.
