Tamil Nadu CM Stalin leaves for Singapore, Japan to attract investments
Before leaving for Singapore, Stalin paid floral tributes to former CMs C N Annadurai and M Karunanidhi at their memorials.
CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu chief minister M K Stalin on Tuesday left for Singapore and Japan to invite investors to the Global Investors Meet to be held in January next year.
This is Stalin’s second visit to foreign countries after becoming the CM to attract investments. He visited the UAE in March last where MoUs worth more than Rs 6,000 crore were signed by the state government in his presence.
Before leaving for Singapore, Stalin, speaking to reporters, said that the objective of his visit is to invite investors to the Global Investors Meet. Stalin was accompanied by industries minister T R B Rajaa and officials from the industries department.
During his nine-day tour, the CM will participate in investors' meet in Singapore and Japan and meet industrialists in both the countries. The Tamil Nadu government will also sign MoUs in Singapore in the presence of Stalin. He will also meet ministers in both the countries.
