Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 0.08%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a negative note on Tuesday.

Shares of Prestige Estates Projects(up 4.06 per cent), Macrotech Developers(up 2.86 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate(up 1.4 per cent), Brigade Enterprises(up 1.19 per cent) and Godrej Properties(up 0.21 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.

On the other hand, Mahindra Lifespace Developers(down 2.83 per cent), DLF(down 2.15 per cent) and Phoenix Mills(down 0.84 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.

The Nifty Realty index closed 0.08 per cent down at 461.6.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 33.6 points at 18348.0, while the BSE Sensex stood up 18.11 points at 61981.79.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 28 ended in the green, while 22 closed in the red.

Shares of Suzlon Energy, Zomato, YES Bank, Adani Ports SEZ and Vodafone Idea were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Aurionpro Sol, Servotech Power Syst, Jai Balaji Inds, Marshall Machines and Hilton Metal hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Vikas Multicorp, Jakharia Fabric, Jet Airways, Vasa Retail & Overse and FutureLifestyleFash hit their fresh 52-week lows.
