Mumbai: Man held for raping tutor, issuing threat

MUMBAI: A 45-year-old man was arrested on Monday for allegedly having a physical relationship with a 38-year-old tuition teacher, after offering to finance her tuition class.
The accused, Ganesh Verma, a resident of Navi Mumbai, has been charged with rape, unnatural sex, outraging the modesty of a woman and issuing threats in a case registered at RCF police station. The tutor has alleged that he met her in Chembur camp and raped her, and also threatened her with dire consequences if she told anyone about the assault.
Verma has been sent to police custody.
