Walgreens Boots reaches settlement over Theranos consumer claims - Bloomberg

• Walgreens Boots Alliance has reached a tentative settlement with consumers in Arizona and California who purchased Theranos blood tests at the drug store chain, Bloomberg reported.
• The consumers alleged that Walgreens Boots (NASDAQ:WBA) was "willfully blind" to fraud that was going on at the company.
• Theranos boasted that its blood tests could work with just a tiny amount of blood. The technology, promoted by founder and CEO Elizabeth Holmes, did not work.
• Holmes was found guilty of fraud last year and is set to report to prison for an 11-year sentence on May 30.
