Cash stolen from Ladfe temple

Unknown culprits decamped with cash amount of Rs 10,000 by breaking the main door and fund box of the Mahadev temple at Ladfe, Bicholim, during the early hours of Sunday.
Temple president Vishnu Malik lodged a police complaint in this regard at Bicholim police station. The incident came to light when the temple priest arrived for performing daily puja and found the main door broken. The police rushed to the site and later conducted panchanama.
A dog squad was pressed into service. The fund box was found lying abandoned along the roadside near the temple.
