Agro Phos(down 2.38%), Madhya Bharat Agro Products(down 2.22%), Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 1.33%), Paradeep Phosphates(down 1.30%), Coromandel International(down 1.16%), Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 1.09%), Aries Agro(down 0.75%), Rama Phosphates(down 0.63%), Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers (down 0.55%) and Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 0.43%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 33.6 points up at 18348.0, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 18.11 points at 61981.79.
Adani Enterprises(up 13.22%), Divis Laboratories(up 3.7%), Bajaj Finserv(up 1.72%), Eicher Motors(up 1.58%), UPL Ltd(up 1.53%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(up 1.38%), SBI Life(up 1.29%), Asian Paints(up 1.16%), Tata Motors(up 1.15%) and IndusInd Bank(up 1.13%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Tech Mahindra(down 1.26%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprises(down 1.19%), Grasim Industries(down 1.19%), HCL Technologies(down 1.12%), Titan Company Ltd(down 1.07%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 0.96%), Larsen & Toubro(down 0.85%), UltraTech Cement(down 0.8%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(down 0.76%) and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(down 0.62%) closed in the red.
