Stock market update: Power stocks up as market rises

NEW DELHI: Power stocks were trading higher on Tuesday at 10:24AM

Indo Tech Transformers(up 20.00%), Transformers and Rectifiers(India)(up 7.20%), Adani Transmissions(up 5.00%), ADANIGREEN(up 5.00%), Adani Power(up 4.98%), Jyoti Structures(up 4.51%), JSW Energy(up 2.28%), Reliance Power(up 2.17%), NLC India(up 1.87%) and RTNPOWER(up 1.64%) were among the top gainers.

Karma Energy(down 10.45%), KEC International(down 4.21%), Power & Instrumentation(Gujarat)(down 1.80%), Indowind Energy(down 1.35%), DPSC(down 0.48%), Inox wind(down 0.22%), Torrent Power(down 0.18%) and Tata Power Company(down 0.02%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 77.7 points up at 18392.1, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 186.39 points at 62150.07 at around 10:24AM.

Adani Enterprises(up 13.23%), Divis Laboratories(up 3.49%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 3.35%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(up 2.07%), Tata Motors(up 1.22%), Bajaj Finserv(up 1.21%), Infosys(up 1.2%), Wipro(up 1.16%), UPL Ltd(up 1.1%) and IndusInd Bank(up 1.09%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Grasim Industries(down 1.28%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 0.76%), Larsen & Toubro(down 0.57%), Titan Company Ltd(down 0.54%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprises(down 0.53%), Mahindra & Mahindra(down 0.53%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(down 0.39%), Hero MotoCorp(down 0.35%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(down 0.22%) and Bharti Airtel(down 0.14%) were trading in the red.
