Cough syrup exporters need to test products sample at govt. labs from June 1
New Delhi: Directorate General of Foreign Trade on Tuesday said that the cough syrup shall be permitted to be exported subject to the export sample being tested and production of Certificate of Analysis (CoA).

The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) said in a notification on Monday.
Last year, there were reports that Indian-made cough syrups were linked to the deaths of 70 children in Gambia and 19 in Uzbekistan last year.
