HYDERABAD: Terming the BRS government’s decennial celebration of statehood formation as a political stunt, the
BJP state executive committee on Monday resolved to reach out to people about the undelivered promises of the state government.
In a two-page resolution, the BJP said: “BRS is trying to make political capital out of events planned for statehood formation and play with Telangana sentiment again. But they have done nothing to realise the aspirations of Telangana people.”
Slamming the state government for TSPSC papers leak, the BJP said that it has dashed the hopes of millions of youth.
“BJP demands a thorough investigation into the IT department which is responsible for the paper leak. We will hold protests until justice is delivered,” the resolution said.
Seeking crop insurance scheme in the state, the BJP said: “Despite severe losses during recent rainfall, Telangana government did not pay the promised support of ₹10,000. The government also did not waive the loans of farmers. The government should waive them by kharif season and ensure banks provide them fresh loans.”
The resolution claimed that there was no safety for women in Telangana and that atrocities have only risen since formation of the state.
Referring to unemployment, the party said: “The Biswal Committee clearly stated that there are lakhs of jobs vacant across government departments, but BRS administration did not pay attention to the report.”
The resolution also spoke about promise of funds for industries.
“BRS government had promised that it will encourage industries and create more jobs, but fund was not given. Not many private jobs were created either,” it alleged. The resolution also condemned the recent arrest of BJP state Bandi Sanjay Kumar.
Talking about the concerns of employees, BJP promised to fight for their issues.
