Fire dept holds mock drill in bldgs

Prayagraj: A team of fire department on Sunday organised a mock drill for the residents of a residential multi-story building to create mass awareness and proper usage of fire extinguishers.
Chief Fire Officer (Prayagraj) RK Pandey told reporters that organising mock drill at a multi-story residential building was being carried out under the fire safety & public awareness campaign. He added residents of the multi-story buildings were being imparted training to handle fire extinguishers particularly handling of domestic LPG cylinders.
Residents were also apprised about other fire safety gadgets that could be handy in case of fire incident. People were also told about to check loose wiring and connections or this could be prime reasons behind short circuit and fire.
Residents were also told about CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) as this is an emergency life-saving procedure that is done when someone’s breathing or heartbeat has stopped.tnn
