Woman, paramour held for killing husband
Rajkot: A woman along with her paramour was arrested for allegedly killing her husband in Adipur village of Gandhidham taluka in Kutch district. The police arrested Shobha Rajgar (40) and Ghanshyam Puri Goswami (42) for the alleged murder of 40-year-old Vinod Rajgar, a factory worker in Adipur village. Cops said that the accused Shobha, a mother of two children — a boy and a girl —,was having an illicit affair with Goswami for the past six months. The accused were arrested based on a complaint filed by Vinod’s brother Sunil on May 17. According to the police, Vinod’s body was found in the bushes behind a shanty near Mundra Circle on May 16. There were injury marks on his forehead indicating that the was hit by some heavy object. The complaint filed by Sunil stated that his brother had left for work in the morning of May 16. When he did not return till late in the evening, Sunil went out to search for him. Meanwhile, he got the news that Vinod’s body was found near Mundra circle.
One of the witnesses told Sunil that Vinod had an altercation with his wife Shobha and Goswami on May 16. Following this, Goswami allegedly hit Vinod on the head with a stone and then a pump that is used in filling grease in machines. Vinod died on the spot and the accused duo then dumped his body into the shrubs and escaped, said the police.
