The quick commerce business has increased significantly in the past three years, with major players such as BigBasket, Swiggy Instamart, Blinkit, and Zepto raising millions of dollars in funding. Quick commerce enterprises are making significant modifications in order to build a profitable business. JioMart, a subsidiary of Reliance Industries, ceased express delivery operations last month. Ola Dash, a mobility company, was shut down in June of last year.
Similarly, Swiggy's Instamart, Zomato's Blinkit, and Bigbasket's BBNow are aiming to increase order values and lengthen delivery durations in order to decrease losses.
Last month, Y Combinator-backed Zepto appointed ex-Zilingo CFO Ramesh Bafna as its CFO, stating that the company will be ready for an IPO within the next two to three years.
