The oddsmakers at Fanduel Sportsbook have made the Lakers a three-point favorite for Monday night's game. At -158 on the money line, a winning $1,000 on Los Angeles would earn you nearly $633 in cash winnings. However, a loss would earn you $1,000 in bonus bets to use on other games. You could also bet on a player prop with longer odds, such as Jamal Murray to score 35+ points at +500 odds. Again, if your bet loses, FanDuel will issue up to $1,000 back to your account in bonus bets.

There was reason to believe entering this series that LeBron James and Anthony Davis would be able to take the momentum from eliminating the reigning champions, the Golden State Warriors, and use it against the Nuggets. That simply hasn't happened. The Lakers' star duo have largely lived up to what's been expected of them. The 38-year-old James has averaged a double-double with 23.7 points and 10.3 assists per game, as well as an additional 9.3 rebounds per game.

Davis has found himself in a tough matchup on-and-off with two-time league MVP Nikola Jokic. AD has scored 28+ points twice in three games, including a standout 40-point performance in Game 1. He's shown up in a big way with 28.7 points and 14.0 rebounds per game, but the Lakers will need even more from him, James and their supporting cast to force Game 5 back in Denver.

Jokic and Murray Eye NBA Finals Berth

Initially, it appeared as though the Nuggets-Lakers series could be one that would go six or seven games. The Nuggets, however, had other plans and have effectively imposed their will at times through three games. For every run LeBron and the Lakers put together, there's an off-balance shot in the paint that falls for Jokic.

Jamal Murray's importance in getting Denver going also cannot be overstated. After averaging 24.8 points per game in the Western Conference Semifinals agains the Phoenix Suns, Murray has taken his game to another level. He's averaging 35 points per game to go along with 7.3 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 2.7 steals per game. While Nikola Jokic has garnered plenty of praise and headlines, Murray's elite play has been absolutely vital to the Nuggets in this series. If both players are on the same page on Monday night, it could be a wrap for the Lakers.
