In the Nifty index, Adani Enterprises Ltd.(up 7.77 per cent), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(up 4.60 per cent), Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(up 2.54 per cent), NTPC Ltd.(up 1.79 per cent) and Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(up 1.71 per cent) were among the top gainers.
On the other hand, IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 1.03 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 0.79 per cent), UPL Ltd.(down 0.75 per cent), Eicher Motors Ltd.(down 0.68 per cent) and Tata Motors Ltd.(down 0.65 per cent) were among the top losers.
