Lexus Granito(down 4.02%), Aro Granite Industries(down 3.58%), Oriental Trimex(down 2.05%), Gujarat Mineral Dvpt Corporation(down 1.33%), Pokarna(down 1.19%), Madhav Marbles and Granites(down 0.85%), Coal India(down 0.50%) and NMDC Ltd(down 0.47%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 111.0 points up at 18314.4, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 234.0 points at 61963.68.
Adani Enterprises(up 18.92%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 6.05%), Divis Laboratories(up 5.38%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprises(up 3.56%), Tech Mahindra(up 3.01%), Wipro(up 2.47%), Tata Consultancy(up 2.35%), HCL Technologies(up 2.24%), Infosys(up 1.88%) and HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(up 1.69%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Nestle India(down 0.9%), Hero MotoCorp(down 0.77%), Eicher Motors(down 0.71%), Axis Bank(down 0.7%), Coal India(down 0.5%), Bharti Airtel(down 0.48%), Tata Motors(down 0.47%), ICICI Bank(down 0.41%), HDFC Bank(down 0.36%) and SBI Life(down 0.29%) closed in the red.
