Prime Minister Narendra Modi emplanes for Australia after concluding PNG visit

PM Modi departed for Australia from Papua New Guinea on May 22. He was accorded with ‘Guard of Honour’ before his departure. The Prime Minister began his last leg of the three-nation visit. PM Modi was in Papua New Guinea for the 3rd FIPIC Summit. PNG conferred the ‘Companion of the order of Logohu’ to PM Modi. He was given the accolade for championing cause of unity of Pacific Island countries. The honour comes immediately after Fiji conferred their highest civilian award to him. Notably, only a handful of Non-Fijians have received ‘Companion of the Order of Fiji’ honour so far.
