Stock market update: FMCG stocks down as market rises

NEW DELHI: FMCG stocks were trading lower on Monday at 09:59AM

Adani Wilmar(up 9.09%), Future Consumer(up 4.55%), JHS Svendgaard Laboratories(up 4.20%), Nakoda Group(up 2.92%), Vadilal Industries(up 1.62%), ADF Foods(up 1.17%), Britannia Industries(up 0.85%), Tasty Bite Eatables(up 0.46%), Hindustan Unilever(up 0.41%) and Mrs Bectors Food Specialities(up 0.39%) were among the top gainers.

Hindustan Foods(down 2.96%), Dodla Dairy(down 1.81%), Heritage Foods(down 1.57%), Dangee Dums(down 1.15%), Patanjali Foods(down 0.86%), Zydus Wellness(down 0.78%), Colgate Palmolive(India)(down 0.53%), Bajaj Consumer(down 0.53%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(down 0.48%) and Hatsun Agro Product Ltd(down 0.46%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 81.15 points up at 18284.55, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 212.44 points at 61942.12 at around 09:59AM.

Adani Enterprises(up 7.16%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 4.76%), Divis Laboratories(up 2.9%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 1.84%), Bajaj Auto(up 1.8%), NTPC(up 1.79%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(up 1.32%), Tech Mahindra(up 1.26%), Larsen & Toubro(up 1.2%) and Wipro(up 1.2%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, IndusInd Bank(down 0.86%), Eicher Motors(down 0.7%), UPL Ltd(down 0.6%), Hindalco Industries(down 0.57%), Tata Motors(down 0.52%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(down 0.49%), Nestle India(down 0.44%), Coal India(down 0.42%), JSW Steel(down 0.4%) and Bharti Airtel(down 0.38%) were trading in the red.
