Man’s hand chopped off in Bantwal

Mangaluru: A man’s left hand was chopped off in an incident reported in Bantwal Town police station limits on Saturday night.
According to police sources, the victim is Shivaraj, 31, of Kasaba village in Bantwal. It is learnt that the victim and the accused are known to each other and an argument over a marriage proposal is suspected to be the reason for the assault. Police have launched an investigation after registering an attempt to murder case in connection with the incident.
