Coast Guard recovers body off Goa coast

Vasco: An Indian Coast Guard ship recovered the body of a man that was spotted floating at sea on Saturday afternoon off the coast of Goa.
The Indian Coast Guard was informed about the body after it was spotted by the crew of a merchant vessel, MT Harmeez.
An Indian Coast Guard Ship was soon dispatched with a medical sailor, diver, and the necessary equipment. Local police personnel joined the operation. After an extensive search, the ship was able to locate the body at 5.15pm and recovered it by 5.50pm. The ship entered the harbour at 7.20pm, where the body was handed over to the local police. The deceased person was not identified till Saturday night. Police are investigating the matter.
