Karnataka cabinet: These 8 Congress ministers to take oath today. Check list

Congress has added ministers from all the caste into the Karnataka cabinet, such as, G Parameshwara (SC), K H Muniyappa (SC), K J George (Minority-Christian), M B Patil (Lingayat), Satish Jarkiholi (ST-Valmiki), Ramalinga Reddy (Reddy), and B Z Zameer Ahmed Khan (Minority-Muslim)
Congress has approved the list of cabinet ministers in the Karnataka government. The list of ministers who are set to become part of the Karnataka's cabinet include- Dr G Parameshwara, KH Muniyapa, KJ George, MB Patil, Satish Jarkiholi, Priyank Kharge, Ramalinga Reddy and BZ Zameer Ahmed Khan. It is unclear who will get which department, but what is interesting to see is, Congress aprty has included Priyank Kharge's name on the crucial list. Kharge is the son of party president Mallikarjun Kharge. Priyank won from the Chittapur constituency by more than 13,000 votes in the recently held legislative assembly election in the southern state.
Notably, Congress has added ministers from all the caste into the Karnataka cabinet, such as, G Parameshwara (SC), K H Muniyappa (SC), K J George (Minority-Christian), M B Patil (Lingayat), Satish Jarkiholi (ST-Valmiki), Ramalinga Reddy (Reddy), and B Z Zameer Ahmed Khan (Minority-Muslim).
Siddaramaiah will be sworn in as Chief Minister of Karnataka for the second term, along with state Congress President D K Shivakumar as Deputy Chief Minister on Saturday.
The swearing-in ceremony will take place at 12.30 PM at Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru. The venue is the same place where Siddaramaiah took oath in 2013, when he became Chief Minister for the first time.
The first daunting task that Siddaramaiah is expected to face is putting in place a Cabinet with the right combinations that will strike a balance in having representatives from all communities, regions, factions, and also from among the old and new generation of legislators.
The Congress has promised to implement the 'guarantees' — 200 units of free power to all households (Gruha Jyoti), ₹2,000 monthly assistance to the woman head of every family (Gruha Lakshmi), 10 kg of rice free to every member of a BPL household (Anna Bhagya), ₹3,000 every month for graduate youth and ₹1,500 for diploma holders (both in the age group of 18-25) for two years (YuvaNidhi), and free travel for women in public transport buses (Shakti), on the very first day of assuming power in the state.
The Gandhi family including Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, as well as Mallikarjun Kharge, will be present at the grand oath-taking ceremony on Saturday. Congress party has also invited like-minded opposition parties and their leaders including Hemant Soren, Sitaram Yechuri, Uddhav Thackeray, Sharad Pawar, and Farooq Abdullah, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to the swearing-in ceremony of Karnataka's cabinet. An invitation was also sent to Trinamool Congress. However, as per the reports, TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee and SP chief Akhilesh Yadav won't be able to attend the ceremony due to personal work. From the TMC party, MP Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar will attend the swearing-in ceremony of the Karnataka Chief Minister.
From the Congress party, Himachal Pradesh chief minister CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot, and Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel will also be present.
Congress bagged 135 seats in the May 10 elections to the 224-member Karnataka Assembly ousting the ruling BJP, which got 66 seats while the Janata Dal (Secular) secured 19 seats.
