Denied outing, 13-year-old kills self

VADODARA: Upset with his mother for not taking him for an outing, a 13-year-old boy committed suicide at his home in the city on Thursday.
Krishiv Solanki, a resident of Amitnagar in Karelibaug, hung himself with a piece of cloth in his room when he was alone at home. Cops are investigating if there was any other reason behind the suicide.
“We learnt that the mother took her other differently-abled son, out for a while. Deceassed wanted to join them but his mother asked him to stay at home and watch the television,” said C R Jadhav, police inspector, Karelibaug.
When she returned home and knocked on deceased’s door, she didn’t get any response. After a while, the parents broke into the room and saw him hanging from the ceiling. The police said that the father works as a clerk.
