Woman killed as crocodile drags her into Amthane dam in Goa

PANAJI: A 45-year-old woman died after she was dragged by a crocodile into the Amthane dam at Wadaval village in Bicholim taluka on Saturday afternoon.
According to the available information, the incident occurred when Sangeeta Shingadi, a resident of Savardhat Dhangarwadi, was taking the goats for grazing and on her way she stopped and ventured into the dam water to wash her hands.
Locals informed police about the incident. Police team arrived at the spot along with a team of Bicholim fire brigade personnel and after much effort the body was found. Bicholim police are investigating further into the matter.
