Jaisalmer: Bhakasar police in Barmer district arrested a woman and her paramour on Friday for alleged murder of the woman’s husband, while another person has been detained. A missing report of Gokalaram Devasi, 25, was filed by his brother Saindharam on May 12.
The report stated that Gokalaram had left for Gujarat where he worked on May 10. However, his employer called up the family when he did not reach Gujarat. The family, after searching for Gokalaram everywhere, lodged a missing complaint.
During investigation police detained a person and interrogated him. Three days ago after tracking phone records of Gokalaram and information from the detained person the Bhakasar police left for Mount Abu.
Search operation was started at the place where the body was thrown. After searching for three days on Thursday half-eaten body of the man was found with the help of Mt Abu police, forest department and municipal council.
According to Bhakasar SHO Suraj Singh Ranavat, the deceased married Mangi Devi around three years ago. However, she was not happy and had an affair with Pannaram. The duo decided to do away with Gokalaram.
On May 10 Mangi informed Pannaram about her husband leaving for Gujarat. Pannaram, along with another person kidnapped Gokalaram from Sanchore and then strangulated him. Pannaram went to Mount Abu to dispose of the body.
