Guwahati Tea Auction Centre celebrates 200 years of Assam Tea

Guwahati Tea Auction Centre (GTAC) celebrated 200 years of Assam tea. Speaking on the same, Guwahati Tea Auction Buyer’s Association Secretary Dinesh Bihani on May 20 said that it is a matter of pride that Assam is celebrating 200 years of its tea and hence on International Tea Day which is on May 21, Guwahati Tea Auction Centre will distribute tea free of cost to people. He said, “We are planning to celebrate the 200 years of Assam tea on May 21 which is observed as International Tea Day. We want to distribute the Assam Tea free of cost to the people as it is the best amongst any other tea in the world. Discussions are also being undertaken to hold an international tea seminar which will happen between October to November 2023 for the worldwide promotion of Assam Tea.”
