33 kg ganja seized at rly station
Ludhiana: Teams of Government Railway Police (GRP) and Railway Protection Force (RPF) seized 33 kilograms of ganja in two operations. Sources said that the accused, who are believed to be carriers of the contraband, managed to escape from the spot on seeing teams of GRP and RPF.
GRP’s SP Balram Rana said, “During a joint checking operation of GRP and RPF teams, 33 kilogram Ganja was recovered from two spots near the railway station.
The teams, which were being led by inspectors Jatinder Singh and Shailesh Kumar found an unclaimed bag during checking near a signboard near one of the platforms of the railway station in which 18 Kilogram contraband was recovered. In the second case, another unclaimed bag was found near a pole from which 15 kilogram contraband was recovered. tnn
