IDC holds first meeting with industry bodies

Panaji: Goa-IDC (Goa-Industrial development corporation) organised its first ever quarterly consultative meetings (QCMs) on Friday to get feedback from industry bodies, which otherwise do not have representation on the Goa-IDC board.
Pravimal Abhishek, managing director, GIDC said they look forward for active collaboration with all industry bodies to create a conducive business environment, adding that it was important that stakeholders are aware of issues, developments and reforms in the industrial sector.
“To boost economic growth and project Goa as an industrial hub, such meetings can provide positive outcomes and through a collaborative effort targets can be achieved,” Abhishek said.
The key issues discussed were, the proposed one-time settlement (OTS) scheme for industries, recovery of land from non-functional units, setting up of a MSME.
