Officer clings to roof in wild Iowa car chase

Iowa police officer Patrick McCarty sprang into action when a man with a warrant out for his arrest tried to flee the scene.

When he was eventually flung from the vehicle he broke his back. The chase happened in 2021 but the footage is newly released. The driver pleaded guilty in court and was sentenced to up to five years.
