Share price of Avenue Supermart rises as Nifty weakens

Shares of Avenue Supermarts Ltd. gained 0.63 per cent to Rs 3390.0 in Friday's trade as of 10:05AM (IST).

The stock hit a high price of Rs 3410.0 and low of Rs 3375.25 during the session.

The return on equity (ROE) for the stock stood at 14.79 per cent. Traded volume on the counter stood at 10:05AM shares and turnover at Rs 2.51 crore around that time.

The stock of Avenue Supermarts Ltd. quoted a 52-week high and 52-week low prices of Rs 4606.0 and Rs 3292.65, respectively.

The Beta value of the counter, which measures its volatility in relation to the broader market, stood at 1.0.

Promoters held 74.93 per cent stake in the company as of 31-Mar-2023, while foreign investors held 8.17 per cent and domestic institutional investors had 7.43 per cent.

Key Financials
The company reported consolidated sales of Rs 10627.18 crore for the quarter ended 31-Mar-2023, down 8.39 per cent from previous quarter's Rs 11600.61 crore and down 20.5 per cent from the year-ago quarter's Rs 8819.02 crore.

Net profit after tax for the latest quarter stood at Rs 460.13 crore, up 7.8 per cent from the same quarter a year ago.
