Friendly banter takes serious turn

Rajkot: A friendly banter took an ugly turn with a youngster stabbing his close friend’s cousin brother in a village of Junagadh district’s Vanthali taluka on Tuesday night.
A complaint was lodged by the victim Iqbal’s brother Imran Kevar against Sabir Sumra. Sumra and Kevar were friends for five years.
On May 16, the duo and other cousins of Kevar decided to spend some time in the village fields to get some respite from the heat. Sumra was teasing everyone on the way. Iqbal asked him to stop, which enraged Sumra who stabbed him repeatedly. Others saved Iqbal and took him to Junagadh Civil Hospital where he is recuperating.
