Kota: Investigating a fraud case lodged in the cyber police station of the city last month, the police have busted an interstate gang of online swindlers and arrested 5 persons, though the kingpin and other main operatives, allegedly based in Mumbai, are yet to be traced, police said.
The accused were produced before court on Thursday and were sent to police custody for interrogation. Kota city SP Sharad Choudhary said that police were investigating a case of online fraud of Rs 6,74, 280 lodged by a resident of Kunhari area on April 17. A police team led by SHO Ganga Sahay Sharma and under supervision of ASP city Praveen Jain and DSP Shankar Lal tracked down the interstate gang and arrested five men. TNN
