Woman among three people dead in Tamil Nadu firecracker unit blast
Three people including a woman died in an explosion at a firecracker manufacturing unit in Tamil Nadu's Sivakasi in Virudhunagar district on Thursday. Expressing anguish over the demise, Chief Minister M K Stalin ordered a solatium of Rs 3 lakh each to the victims' families. An unexpected blast at the firecracker making factory in Oorampatti village in Sivakasi led to the deaths of S Kumaresan, R Sundararaj and K Ayyammal, an official release said.

A 20-year-old worker died and nine others were injured when a building under construction collapsed in Bharatpur district, police said on Thursday. The incident took place near Jhantli village under the Sikri police station area late Wednesday night, they said. The building belongs to a madrassa. Ten labourers were working at the site when the building collapsed, police said, adding the incident might have been caused due to Wednesday evening's rainfall and hailstorm. (PTI)
Cow remains found in northwest Delhi's Aman Vihar
Police on Thursday found remains of a cow in northwest Delhi's Aman Vihar area and launched an investigation into the animal's slaughter. Police collected the slaughtered cow's body parts, including its head, on a tip-off from bushes in the area. A crime team inspected the spot and sent the remains to veterinary hospital for post mortem, a senior police officer said. (PTI)
