5 cyber frauds held in Patna

PATNA: The Economic Offences Unit sleuths conducted a raid in Patna and arrested five cyber criminals, who had been cheating the innocent persons by convincing them to download Anydeask/Ruskdesk app.
The police also recovered over Rs 14 lakh in cash, gold worth Rs 17.56 lakh, 70 cellphones, 109 ATM cards, 86 bank passbooks and cheque books from their possession during the raid.
The police said the gang was active in Bihar and Jharkhand, and had been working in proper coordination with cyber criminals from Jamtara and Deoghar.
