No water supply to South Goa on Sun

Margao: The PWD has announced that there will be no water supply to Sanguem, Quepem, Salcete and Mormugao talukas on May 21.
A public notice issued by the executive engineer, PWD, Div XII, said there will be no water supply from its 100 million litres per day (MLD) capacity water treatment plant at Salaulim from 7am to 3pm on May 21 on account of the planned power shutdown arranged by the electricity department at its Xeldem subdivision on that day.
The notice further said that in order to take up the maintenance works on trunk main of 160 MLD water treatment plant at Cotarli-Sanguem, there will be no water supply from this plant from 7am to 6 pm on May 21 to Sanguem, Quepem, Salcete and Mormugao talukas.
