Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde inspected the Mithi River Pre-Monsoon Cleaning work at Bandra East in Mumbai on May 18. After the inspection, he warned officials that they will face action if negligence is observed in the cleaning project. “Cleaning of Mithi river is starting today. The depth will be increased by taking out the silt of the river, if the depth is ensured then water will not accumulate. If water accumulates, it means the work has not been done properly. Officers who do good work will be respected and those who do negligence will face action,” said Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde in Mumbai.
