    Share price of Vedanta rises as Nifty strengthens

    Shares of Vedanta Ltd. gained 0.64 per cent to Rs 281.15 in Thursday's trade as of 10:36AM (IST). The stock hit a high price of Rs 284.2 and low of Rs 280.8 during the session.

    The return on equity (ROE) for the stock stood at 26.82 per cent. Traded volume on the counter stood at 10:36AM shares and turnover at Rs 4.16 crore around that time. The stock of Vedanta Ltd. quoted a 52-week high price of Rs 340.75 and 52-week low prices of Rs 206.1, respectively.

    The stock's Beta value, which measures its volatility in relation to the broader market, stood at 1.4.

    Promoters held 0.0 per cent stake in the company as of 31-Dec-2022, while foreign investors held 7.89 per cent and domestic institutional investors had 0.45 per cent.

    The company reported consolidated sales of Rs 38635.0 crore for the quarter ended 31-Mar-2023, up 10.96 per cent from previous quarter's Rs 34818.0 crore and up 4.45 per cent from the year-ago quarter's Rs 40433.0 crore. Net profit after tax for the latest quarter stood at Rs 1881.0 crore, down 67.56 per cent from the same quarter a year ago.
