Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 1.25% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded negative around 10:35AM(IST)on Thursday in an upbeat market.

Mahindra Lifespace Developers(up 0.26 per cent) and Indiabulls Real Estate(up 0.09 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Brigade Enterprises(down 2.68 per cent), Godrej Properties(down 2.24 per cent), Macrotech Developers(down 1.27 per cent), DLF(down 1.23 per cent) and SOBHA(down 1.19 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was down 1.25 per cent at 460.0 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 43.5 points at 18225.25, while the BSE Sensex was up 173.81 points at 61734.45.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 30 were trading in the green, while 18 were in the red.

Shares of Suzlon Energy, BLS Int. Services, Vodafone Idea, Indian Railway Fin and YES Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Jindal Saw, Quicktouch Technolog, The Anup Engg, Bigbloc Const and Quality Foils(India hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while SEL Manufact, Dangee Dums, Omkar Speciality, Ipca Labs and Accuracy Shipping hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
