JHS Svendgaard Laboratories(up 4.07%), Mrs Bectors Food Specialities(up 3.19%), Nakoda Group(up 2.98%), Umang Dairies(up 1.61%), Dodla Dairy(up 1.58%), Tasty Bite Eatables(up 1.51%), Hindustan Foods(up 1.29%), Hatsun Agro Product Ltd(up 1.27%), Bajaj Consumer(up 1.22%) and Patanjali Foods(up 1.16%) stood among the top gainers.
Future Consumer(down 4.17%), Gillette India(down 2.18%), Adani Wilmar(down 2.01%), Dangee Dums(down 1.89%), Colgate Palmolive(India)(down 1.67%), Bikaji Foods International(down 1.59%), Britannia Industries(down 1.46%), Hindustan Unilever(down 1.28%), Godrej Consumer Products(down 0.94%) and Heritage Foods(down 0.87%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 51.8 points down at 18129.95, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 128.9 points at 61431.74.
Bajaj Finance(up 1.26%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(up 0.96%), Bharti Airtel(up 0.9%), ICICI Bank(up 0.76%), Asian Paints(up 0.54%), HCL Technologies(up 0.5%), Hero MotoCorp(up 0.45%), HDFC Bank(up 0.4%), HDFC(up 0.36%) and HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(up 0.26%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Divis Laboratories(down 3.5%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(down 2.87%), State Bank of India(down 2.06%), ITC(down 1.85%), Titan Company Ltd(down 1.47%), Britannia Industries(down 1.46%), Eicher Motors(down 1.45%), Larsen & Toubro(down 1.41%), Mahindra & Mahindra(down 1.39%) and Tata Motors(down 1.37%) closed in the red.
