In preparation for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, BJP Chief J P Nadda emphasised that the party’s victory should stem from their own strength rather than the weakness of other parties. He called upon party workers to become “elements of change” during his address to the state executive committee.
“We are not going to stop and will continue to move ahead at the organizational level,” Nadda stated, urging party members to strengthen themselves and ensure that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) wins all elections.
Highlighting the importance of Maharashtra, Nadda urged party workers to gear up for the political tussle with the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) in the state, emphasising the need to bring the BJP to power. He took a dig at Uddhav Thackeray, reminding everyone of Shiv Sena supremo Balasaheb Thackeray’s vow to never join hands with the Congress.
Nadda criticised the Congress for undermining the self-respect of the nation, particularly when Rahul Gandhi makes statements about Hndu nationalist Vinayak Damodar Savarkar. He also took a swipe at the NCP, highlighting the irony of their leaders being in jail while they question the BJP’s credibility.
“The BJP has grown big. I am not worried about the results of any elections now. We will continue to grow. However, the win of the party should not be due to the weakness of others but only due to the strength of our own,” Nadda emphasised, asserting the party’s commitment to ongoing growth.
Nadda commended the BJP’s achievements, noting their presence in 15 states, with 303 members in parliament, 93 members in the Rajya Sabha, 1,385 legislators across the country, and over 100 mayors in cities nationwide. He expressed gratitude for the public’s confidence in the party.
“We have to take all the achievements of the Modi government to the people,” Nadda stated, highlighting India’s success in controlling inflation and increasing GDP compared to other developing countries.
