Punjab: BJP’s Anil Sarin condemns policeman allegedly slapping woman farmer leader in Gurdaspur

Following the shocking viral video in which a policeman was purportedly seen slapping an elderly woman during a protest over land acquisition on Delhi-Katra national highway on May 17, Chief spokesperson of Punjab BJP Anil Sarin on May 18 condemned the incident.Anil Sarin said, “Whatever dispute is there regarding compensation to the farmers by the state government under the Bharat Mala project, it should be resolved. However, a solution can be found only by talking to the farmers and the incident of the woman farmer leader being slapped by the police personnel is condemnable.”
