Four incidents on Tuesday keep firemen on toes
Nagpur: Firefighters were on their toes on Tuesday with four fire incidents across the city.
The incidents were reported at a dairy shop in Gokulpeth, FCI godown near rural police HQ, a moving ambulance carrying a body and at a DP box in Reshimbagh. No casualties were reported.

Around 5am, a DP box near Priya Bar in Reshimbagh caught fire. Fire department officials said a fire tender from nearby Sakkardara station reached the spot and doused the flames.
The second fire was reported at around 5.15am at the Food Corporation of India’s godown’s office. A security guard on duty spotted smoke emanating from one of the godowns. He alerted the fire control room and one fire tender from Sugat Nagar station was rushed to the spot, which controlled the blaze. Furniture worth ₹50,000 was destroyed.
The third incident was reported at around 5.20am from Gokulpeth area after a fire broke out in a dairy shop in Aradhana apartments, owned by one M Reddy.
On being informed by morning walkers, firemen from Civil Lines station reached the spot. Within half an hour, firemen with one fire engine doused the flames. Two electric mopeds, one bicycle and a washing machine were damaged.
The fourth incident took place at around 10.50am after an ambulance transporting body of a 34-year-old Akola resident caught fire. The ambulance caught fire due to short-circuit in its electric cables, said fire officials.
