NIT-Kurukshetra student jumps to death from hostel building

KURUKSHETRA: A second year BTech student of National Institute of Technology (NIT), Kurukshetra, allegedly died by suicide by jumping from the third floor of his hostel on Tuesday evening, said police.
The deceased was identified as Bhavya Bansal (20) of Sirsa, whose body was handed over to his family after post-mortem at Kurukshetra on Wednesday.
Bhavya was taken to a private hospital for treatment, where the doctors declared him brought dead.
“We received the information about the incident on Tuesday evening. It came to light that there was some dispute between the deceased and his mother over a family matter. The police did not found any suicide note,” said a police officer.
