Used toy gun, singer Santosh Chaudhri alias Dadus tells cops after firing video

MUMBAI: The statement of singer and Big Boss Marathi contestant Santosh Chaudhri alias Dadus was recorded by the RAK Marg police on Tuesday after a video showing him firing two rounds in the air during a haldi ceremony went viral.
A senior officer said in the evening that it was found to have been a toy gun. "Our inquiry is going on," said the officer.
Dadus said the video was shot on May 12 in Sewri where he had gone to perform during the ceremony. "I was singing in the haldi program. People were dancing and enjoying. It was my toy gun that creates sound only," said Dadus. Someone had shot the video and posted it in social media.
