Nagpur: Umrer police of Nagpur rural are puzzled over the murder of 70-year-old Tukaram Kalsarpe at Pirawa village on Monday.
Kalsarpe was allegedly killed by an unidentified person, who was often seen with the deceased.
Apart from the identity of the assailant, the cops are also clueless over the motive behind the murder. It’s learnt Kalsarpe was frequently spotted with the unidentified man at his own farmland in Khapri village.
Kalsarpe was last spotted with the suspect. The victim was riding pillion on the suspect’s bike.
Police said the suspect had taken Kalsarpe inside farmland before strangling him with a scarf.
Senior inspector Pramod Ghonge of Umrer police station said that they have formed teams and are trying to establish the identity of the suspect.
